BIB 100: Bible Study & Interpretive Method- A study
of basic principles of inductive Bible Study methods in learning to observe,
understand, interpret, and apply the content of biblical text. The course also
covers the use of available resources and a brief history of interpretation.
BIB 101: Baptist History- Baptist history to the present. Development of basic doctrine and polity will be discussed, as well as historically important Baptist men and women.
BIB 200: Intro to Greek- An introduction to the basic principles of Greek grammar. Understanding how and why to use the original languages in personal Bible study and reference for sermons.
BIB 201: Baptist Distinctive- Bring a better understanding to the local Baptist church member of why Baptist do things the way they do. Including ordinances such as Baptism, and the Lord’s supper. So that purpose and integrity is instilled in our youth so they do not fall into church consumerism.
Old Testament:
OLT 100: OT Survey I- A survey of the first half of literature and message of the Old Testament from a Christocentric point of view.
OLT 101: OT Survey II- A survey of
the second half of literature and message of the Old Testament from a Christocentric
point of view.
OLT 200: OT Focus Study Exodus- Understanding
a better perspective of the calling of the Israelites out of Egypt and the
world and God’s purpose of redemption.
OLT 201: OT Focus Study Hosea- Understanding how God
called Hosea to marry a whore and redeemed her and call her to live a life that
demands explanation, relating the story to Israel, and then also relating it to
Christ.
New Testament:
NTS 100: NT Survey I- A survey of the first half of literature and message of the New Testament.
NTS 101: NT Survey II- A survey of the second half of
literature and message of the New Testament.
NTS 200: NT Focus Study Gospels- Understanding the purpose, differences, and similarities between the four Gospel books of the NT.
NTS 201: NT Focus Study 7 Churches- Using the references from Revelation about the 7 churches and their calling from Christ in relation to our Spiritual walk on this Earth and how we can be overcomers.
Theology:
THE 100: Systematic Theology I- A systematic examination
of the nature, scope, and sources including biblical and historical, of the
Christian doctrines of revelation and Scripture, God (including creation and
providence), man and sin, and the person of Jesus Christ.
THE 101: Systematic Theology II- A systematic examination of the nature, scope, and souces, including biblical and historical, of the Christian doctrines of the work of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, the church, and eschatology.
THE 200: Theological Focus Study Trinity- Understanding the Trinity from the whole Bible and how the individual persons function with each other and humanity.
THE 201: Theological Focus Study Salvation- Understanding the depth of Salvation from the beginning of the Bible to the end. Including justification, sanctification, and redemption.
EDU 100: Disciple Making- Instruction in the whats, whys
and hows of personal and corporate disciple-making in order to enter the actual
process by being a disciple and discipling others.
EDU 101: Survey Church History- A general survey of the history of Christanity from the New Testament to the present.
EDU 200: Evangelism- An introduction to evangelism with emphasis upon the biblical, theological, and practical applications within the context of the local church. Special emphasis will be given to church growth and personal witnessing
EDU 201: World Religions- A seminar in the primary literature pertaining to the history and philosophy of the major contemporary religions of the world. Included are the teachings of Buddha, Confucius, Lao-Tzu, and Muhammad
EDU 300: Biblical Womanhood- Focus on the biblical role of women related to the home, family, church, ministry, and relationships.
EDU 301: Biblical Manhood- Focus on the biblical role of men related to the home, family, church, ministry, and relationships.
